Schilthorn - Piz Gloria - Bond World
For those on the trail of the world’s best known secret agent, James Bond, starting from summer 2013 a new “BOND WORLD OO7” exhibit will open at the mountain top lair made iconically famous in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. This indoor attraction covering 400 square meters will take visitors through the history of the films and, interactively test some James Bond skills.
Schilthorn visitors will be led on a ledge walk of a different kind to the new viewing platform PIZ GLORIA VIEW, where the view towards the revolving restaurant Piz Gloria together with a unique perspective of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau is Europe’s most spectacular sight! Spring Mountain Festival Männlichen
Legendary, traditional and unforgettable. On June 30, 2013 there will be a traditional spring mountain festival on the Männlichen. Marvel at the typical, folk costumes of different cantons complemented by folk music for this unique festival in front of a fascinating scenic backdrop. 75th Anniversary of the First Ascent of the Eiger North Face
The North Face of the Eiger is one of the greatest sheer north face
cliffs of the Alps. To be the first to conquer this famous wall was the
dream of many mountaineers from all over Europe. The many tragedies and
ultimately, the successful climb, are reasons enough to commemorate the ‘75th
Anniversary of the First Ascent of the Eiger North Face’. For this
occasion Grindelwald Tourism, together with partners, has invited 50
journalists to Grindelwald from the 11 -12 July 2013, to cover this one
