Baselworld
March 8 - 15
Almost 2,000 companies from the jewelry, watch, and gems business sectors
present their innovative new products at the Worlds
Fair for Watches and Jewellery. The most famous brands from
around the world and the local Swiss inductry will be present at Baselworld
and nearly 100,000 visitors from the industry will travel from all corners
of the
world
to the city on the Rhine to discover the latest trends. Baselworld
Blickfang Basel
March 23 - 25
The International Design Fair is being hosted for the 3rd time in Basel. Over
100
exhibitors from furniture, fashion and jewelry offer
their latest
collections in the E-Halle. You can look forward to the creations

Basel Art Museum "Renoir. Bohemia and Bourgeoisie: The
Early
Years"
April 1 through August 12
With this special exhibition, the Kunstmuseum Basel looks at the early years
of the great French impressionist painter, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, with important
paintings from the world's museum collections, together with lesser-known works
from private collections, offereing a comprehensive insight into Renoir's artistically

Muba
April 13 - 22
The 96th Muba fair will take place in Basel this April. The traditional spring
event offers a wide variety of activities around themes of healthy living, fashion,
sport, culture, cuisine and more. This year

BScene - The Basel Club Festival
March 23/24
Northwest Switzerland's biggest and loudest club music festival will be held
for the 16th go round presenting a snapshot of the regional music scene - from
rock, pop, electro, hip-hop, jazz, and reggae to worldwide music. The concerts
are held for two days in Basel's most popular clubsl. The best thing about the

Blues Festival,
March 27 - April 1st
The 13th Session of the Basel Blues Festival will be held from 27 March to 1
April
2012
in
the Basel Volkshaus. 6 days of musical shows will be presented,
with
international
stars paying their respects to the local music scene. Additionally, the revered
Swiss Blues Award - the Grammy of Swiss Blues - will be handed over. The festival

Basel International Jazz Festival
April 19 - May 15
The Basel International Jazz Festival for its 22nd year will once again bring
excitement to the contemporary music scene. Over 20 bands and jazz orchestras,
with
more
than 120
musicians, will perform in 15 concerts. On offer are promising saxophonists,
big female voices, percussionists, sensational pianists and guitarists. Look
forward to 14 days of jazz from the top of the heap of the current national and
international
